UVF-9
Internal UV Filter |
|

|
|
- High quality quartz sleeve
- Safe for inhabitant
- Kills Algae, Parasites, Harmful bacteria
- Combination with Carbon and Foam Filter
- Quiet and Reliable
- Ideal for saltwater, freshwater and pond.
|
|
Important to Know
|
- When the quartz sleeve gets dirty with any sludge build up, it must
be kept clean to maximize the efficiency of UV light.
- In case of controlling parasites, prolong the exposure time of water
to the UV light. It can be accomplished by lowering flow of
water.
- UV sterilizer would be connected to a suitable filter device to trap
any suspended particles that can be attached on the quartz sleeve.
- Replace an UV bulb when lamp effectiveness declines with time.
It is recommended to replace UV bulb every Six Months.
- This UV sterilizer can be used for saltwater, freshwater aquariums
and pond.
- Maximum aquarium size is calculated by UV dosage that kills
free-floating algae and bacteria at 30,000 pw/cm2
and tank turn over of 3 to 4 times per hour.

Safety Instruction |
- Make sure that electrical voltage is compatible with voltage printed
on the filter label.
- Always use a properly grounded electrical outlet.
- To avoid electrical shock and /or electrical short, use a drip loop
to prevent water travel along the power cord
- Ensure pump is securely installed before operation.
- Pump should only be used with water.
- Do not operated a dry filter to avoid permanent damage. The
filter should always be used with water.
- Do not operate filter if it is damaged, malfunction and/or if there
is a problem with the power cord.
- Always unplug the filter from the electrical outlet when not in use,
before replacing of cleaning pars. Do not yank power cord to
unplug it from the electrical outlet.
- Do not install or store pump where it can be extreme weather
conditions or temperature below freezing.
- If an extension cord is necessary, use a cord with the proper
rating. A cord rated for less amperes or watts than the pump
rating may result in overheating.
- Do not attempt to repair filter at home. If service is needed,
return filter to an authorized service center for service.
- UV Clarifier brings ultraviolet radiation when it is working which
is harmful to the human eyes and skin, avoid eye contact and skin
contact with the UV light at all times. Remember to switch off
the power before opening up the unit.
- When an "Acute Collision" or "A drop of the
Unit" happens, please check to see if there is any crack on the
quartz tube and UV lamp. If any crack or breakages happens, you
must replace the broken parts before using the unit again.

Maintenance |
Always disconnect pump power cord before performing maintenance.
- Impeller: 1. Separate the motor
unit from the filter part. 2. Gently remove impeller housing
from the motor unit. 3. Pull out the magnet impeller.
4. Clean and wipe the magnet impeller to remove dirt, debris and
deposits. 5. Reinstall the magnet impeller into shaft and
impeller housing.
- Carbon Cartridge: It is recommended to replace
carbon cartridge every month for a healthier aquarium. This
carbon cartridge unit is sealed and not refillable. Carbon
removes color, bad smell and dissolved organic matter.
- Foam Filter: The foam filter combines the
important functions of mechanical and biological filter. This
foam filter removed debris and suspended particles and will eventually
be colonized by nitrifying bacteria. This filter requires
periodic cleaning to remove debris and particles for restoring its
mechanical function.
- Quartz sleeve and Lamp replacement: 1. Separate
the motor unit from the filter cylinder. 2.Open rotary faster by
turning. Take out the rotary faster and quartz sleeve step by
step and clean the quartz sleeve and inner surface of the product by a
soft sponge or cloth. 3. In ease of replacement of UV bulb, take
out the old UV lamp and replace with a new lamp. 4.Assemble the
unit back to its original state after replacing the lamp (make sure
tht the seal ring and any "O" ring are properly placed
back).
